The Benjamin Ling Government Department Fund at Colby College
After Ben died, we wanted to do something that would honor Ben and help others with this disease, so that no-one else with chondrosarcoma would have to hear “there is nothing we can do.” Ben’s doctor at M. D. Anderson, Kristy Weber, told us about a research program at the University of Iowa, the University of Iowa Chondrosarcoma Research Project, led by the chairman of the Department of Orthopedics at Iowa, Dr. Joseph Buckwalter. This is one of the few research programs that focus exclusively on chondrosarcoma.
