Alvin
Farmhouse: This charming circa 1920s farmhouse has been lovingly restored. It is located at 376 County Road 142, the street that runs behind the new Home Depot, near the intersection of Highway 6 and Bypass 35 in Alvin. Located on high ground (never flooded - even in '79 when most of Alvin flooded) and has sandy loam soil.
No large dogs allwed inside because they do too much damage to the original wood floors. Small dog or cat may be allowed with an additional $200. non-refundable pet deposit. Only tenants' own personal horses allowed on property. No boarding/training businesses allowed due to insurance considerations. Prospective tenants must have good credit, employment and rental history. $30 application fee for each tenant for credit and background check. ![]() Here's a view of the back porch. It faces toward the back pasture so you can sit and watch your horses graze.
