It's located on a private horse farm in Alvin, less than a mile from Highway 6, with lovely views of trees and lush green pastures. It's convenient to NASA, Clear Lake, and downtown is less than an hour commute. (I know, I drive it every day! ;) ) Rent is $800 a month (with a $500 deposit)  and includes electricity, and all other utilities except for phone and cable. There is a $30 application fee and prospective tenants must pass a criminal background check and have good references.  Tenant has the use of one garage space in the three-car garage, and exclusive use of a washer/dryer located in the garage. The garage apartment entrance is very private, and on the opposite end of the house from the main entrance.   The apartment has central air and heat, and has been equipped with solar screens and ceiling fans throughout for energy efficiency and comfort. It also has a programmable thermostat, and has been freshly painted throughout and has a new stove. It has generous closet space and a private balcony. Non-smokers only, please.  We do not have space for a tenant's horse, but there are several nice boarding stables within 10 minutes of the apartment.
